can we just go ahead and say that this hair style should be a trend for forever? personally, i just don't know what to do with myself when i see it. my furture significant other has full permission to rock it anytime, anywhere. oh, and that popped collar and buddy holly glasses put me into full-on fangirl mode.

this is a new-found realization.
and i can do without the pants rolled up at the bottom.

birthday greatness! :)

this is the 'no makeup/in my pajamas edish'

a new camera strap arrived on my doorstep today from Ms. Taylor Olness...

From Joe, Raelye, Taelye, and Taegan:

My brother made me a pen/pencil. I cannot describe how it does both lead and ink in a way that would make in sense whatsoever on here. So next time you see me, ask me.

...and a new bible!

I just got home from Joe and Raelye's. They were so great and had me, the rents, granny and mema over for a birthday celebration this evening. Complete with excellent hamburgers, home grown beef courtesy of Raelye's dad, and homemade ice cream. Oh yes, there was Dos Equis too! This just rounds out a perfectly wonderful 23rd birthday weekend!

I have such great family and friends!

Please excuse the webcam pictures. It's just the easiest way to do it!

Monday morning blues...

after this weekend, it was hard to get up and come to work this morning.

I left with the rents lunchtime Friday, we drove to San Antonio (Taegan calls it an'antonio). Of course my dad had to go to WoodCraft and look around at all the woodworking things that I know nothing about and another wood store. After that we went and checked in to the hotel and headed to Bass Pro Shop.

How awesome is that store? I've been there a million times and never get tired of it, and I don't even like 'outdoorsy' things. I got a sleep mat and backpack for the Germany trip.

After shopping we went to P.F. Chang. Best. Food. Ever.
There were:
2 Bottles of Pinot Noir
Steamed Chicken Dumplings
Lettuce Wraps
Double Pan Fried Noodles
Almond Cashew Chicken
Mongolian Beef
Seuchuan Asparagus
Mini Tiramisu and Carrot Cakes for Dessert.
Yes, there was only three of us. Don't Judge - it's rude.

Oh yes, there was a trip back to Bass Pro after dinner. My dad was mulling a gun purchase.

Saturday- Dad went to WoodCraft (again) while me and mom slept in.
We shopped at La Cantera - I found the best warm, winter leggings from the Gap along with some cute new skinnies. Go me! I've been searching everywhere! Mom got some new Chico's outfits. Then Lunch at Pappadeaux's. We ran errands that afternoon, went to a pool store and an outdoor furniture place. Then we vegged out for a an hour or two and went to eat dinner at Macaroni Grill, followed by another trip to Bass Pro (still mulling - and mulling ended when they apparently sold the gun he wanted.)

Seriously, the weekend was nothing but shopping and eating.

...and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

You know those weeks that just drag by... each day is like another level of hell?
That's exactly how this week was, the only thing that kept me going was looking foward to this weekend. Now it's here and I'm super excited. I'm working for another hour then I'm off to San Antonio with the rents for some birthday fun that hopefully will include:
  • P.F. Chang
  • Shopping
  • Pappadeaux
  • Shopping
You get the drift.. me only two priorities in life are shopping in eating, and I don't think there's a darn thing wrong with that.

So... everyone have a good weekend, I know mine will be!

Much love.

today.

I'm celebrating, because...

1. I bought new shoes last night. That's always cause for a party. Thanks, YWAM for giving me an excuse to buy shoes. I really appreciate it.
2. Only 4 days until I turn 23. That's right peope, you've only got a short time left to buy me a present, I have faith that you can do it though.
3. My new camera will be arriving on my doorstep today if UPS lives up to their word.

it's my birthday month!

[via]

My birthday is apparently Vanilla Ice Cream Day.
(don't forget to get me a present - NOT ICE CREAM)
I can't even act like I'm not disappointed. Vanilla is the most boring flavor to begin with.
It's Ice Cream Month, the 17th is Ice Cream Day, I totally got jipped.
Why couldn't I have chili dog day, or tequila day, or bastille day, or fried chicken day... all of those are significantly better than Vanilla Ice Cream Day.

In any case, it's still 22 days until I complete 23rd year on Earth.
Happy Friday, y'all.

Weekends.

This weekend I got some much needed downtime, with the exception of Friday night, that is. I went with mom and the neices to the circus. I had never been before, so I felt it was definitely something I should do. However, my sentiment now is, "I've seen one, now I never have to go again." The performances were excellent, but not something I want to go see everyday.

Saturday night, I stayed at the apartment, cooked dinner and watched movies...

You might recall this post when you see this poster. I confess... I went to see this movie in the theater with Taylor and two guys. The guys didn't like it so we left. I'm not going to pretend I was into it, but I wish I would've finished it. Tamura told me I should give it another shot, so I did. Apparently, we walked out right before it picked up. This was an exceptional movie, guys. Seriously, not only just how Facebook started, but learning about Mark Zuckerberg, all the people involve, the behind the scenes stories. It was definitely a win, definitely. On the same note, there is definitely a target audience for this movie... if you're not part of the Facebook generation I don't think you should bother. It would also be a shame not to mention Mr. Andrew Garfield and his preppy good looks. That hair...

I saw this in the theater, as well, with Taylor. On the contrary, we loved it!! Drew Barrymore and Justin Long have excellent chemistry, and they are both hilarious. Warning: Crude, very crude, humor. Like seriously crude. And there's drug use. Sooo... you decide.

Sunday... wow, totally laziness. Went to church, then lunch, then napped at the rents, then went to Granny's with mom and stayed for almost 2 hours, then came back to the rents, went swimming, drank wine, had breakfast for dinner, spent the night because I was too lazy to drive home at 10:30. Good Times.
