I was 5 minutes late to work. I don't what's worse, my dad giving me a hard time about it or just raising his brows and giving me the 'look' when I walk past his office.
After working here for almost 5 years, I'm still not sure waht the protocol is for calling my dad at work. Marty? Dad? Hey you? It confuses me and creates awkward (on my end at least) conversations daily. I try to avoid calling him anything at all.
I keep thinking about all the things that need to be done in preparation for the upcoming trip to Seattle. I made a stupid, STUPID impulse purchase at target on a super cute tote that I didn't need, so i have to take that back and buy toilet paper. Oh the joys of living in the real world, I have to sacrafice fashion for toilet paper, I never thought I'd see the day, but I digress, that's what I'll be doing on my lunch break. Then I have a regularly scheduled babysitting til 8 tonight, so that pretty much sends productivity out the window for the evening.

OK SERIOUSLY- WHY DO PEOPLE TALK ON THEIR CELL PHONE AT WORK?! As a secretary, I can see if you're on a line in your office and I can take a message, but if you're on your cell phone I have to walk all the way to your office to see that you're chattin' it up on your cell while sitting at your desk. JUST CALL PEOPLE FROM THE OFFICE. It ties up a line (one less that can't ring) AND I know that you're unavailable.
I can't think about this anymore.
