At midnight, I was smiling. Now? Not so much.
Was it awesome? Yes.
Did I cry? Only during the 'Snape' part. If you read the books, you know what I'm talking about. If not, you'll find out.
How was it compared to the book? Well done. Obviously some things were changed, but it was about as accurate as Part 1 was.
A few other thoughts:
- It wasn't as long as I expected. 2 hours and 15 minutes from the start of the previews. This surprised me.
- I didn't get the cool Harry Potter 3D Glasses. Sad. Day.
- It was wonderful in 3D, by the way.
- Alan Rickman was wonderful. Seriously, wonderful.
- The entire movie was action... beginning to end.
- McGonagall was a serious badass.
- The guy sitting by Anne was a new breed of Harry Potter fanatic. During a particularly sad scene in which I probably would've cried like a baby if not for him, he whimpered. Seriously, whimpered. Like a child. Obviously, me and Anne had a giggle fest that made us look like we were crying hysterically because we were trying our hardest to hold it in. Seriously, this guy commentated and cried through the entire movie. It was out of control.
- When did Neville go from chubby little boy to sexy man? Sometime between the Half Blood Prince and the Deathly Hallows, I assure you.
