HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Wow!! The holidays have ended. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time. The end of another and another new beginning. Every year I have so many emotions regarding the year to come. Twentyten was a big year for me, I learned so much about myself and I graduated from college. Yipee. However, I know that twentyeleven is going to be a rollercoaster of a ride... finding a job, going back to school (possibly), moving. It all makes me want to crawl back into bed. But I'm also excited.

NYE was an interesting day...
...found my lost phone, and didn't have to mourn its death!
...drove to Austin with Sarah. A wonderful trip that included many deep (and not-so-deep) conversations and singing along to loud music.
...bought a new outfit at Express. I'm now in love with their jeans.
...went to see Black Swan (a post regarding this experience will follow)
...Mexican Martinis at Trudy's. Along with some really good chicken quesadillas.
...rang in the New Year under a canopy of baloons at the Ranch on 6th street.

New Years Day was even more interesting...
...had brunch at Taverna. We really need a good brunch place in San Angelo. I want to be able to get eggs benedict more often than when I'm in Austin. They also have $1 mimosas!
...dropped yet another best friend at the airport. I drove Tamura the day after Christmas, this time is was Sarah's turn. If my best friends were truly concerned with my mental and emotional health they would both move back to Texas. Sorry, thats so selfish, no true.
...decided spontaneously to drive to Mansfield to see my family. That was a great decision.

And finally yesterday, we had lunch at P.F. Chang's. This was my fortune:
"New and rewarding opportunities will soon develop for you."
Well, if thats not the best fortune to get at the beginning of a new year, I don't know what is.

Also, started my picture-a-day challenge (number 1 on my life list). I took them on the Fisheye, so I can't post them immediately. They will be posted as soon as they are developed.

valentine's day

so for valentine's day, me and my best friend sarah decided to go on a date. its so lame to sit at home just because you dont have a "significant other." she had to go back to austin early sunday morining, so we went on saturday evening. we got dresses up, went to dinner, the movies, and then out to get drinks. of course, there had to be a picture since we were all dressed up!

we went to go see valentine's day! it was wonderful!! regardless of the fact that it had so manygreat actors in it, it had a great story. it's a lot like "he's just not that into you" in the fact that it had several story lines that all ended up being connected in the end. it also wasnt an unrealisitically sappy love story. it had a lot of real life situations, which i love! i definately recommend this movie... i even think some guys might like it too!

for new years, some of the girls came over and we decorated TOMS. we had alot of fun. after that, some more people came over and we just hung out at my house to bring in the new year.

christmas morning joe, raelye, taelye and taegan came over to open presents before they left to visit raelye's family.

of course the girls got way more toys than they will ever need, but it was so much fun to see them open presents. what's the fun of having neices if not spoiling them!

holidays in a nut shell!

so my favorite time of the year came and went in a flash. i love the holidays...thanksgiving to christmas is the funnest time of the year. spending time with family, giving and getting presents, and seeing people you dont get to see often. i love it all!

here's a little about thanksgiving: my family came in from arlington to spend thanksgiving with us at my house. my parents cooked a great meal. we all watched the a&m/texas game...it was sad. friday, me and aly got up to do a little shopping. hit the sales at target and some great deals!

christmas was an absolute blast! this was the first christmas joe and raelye have been in town since they started dating. christmas morning was so much fun. there's nothing like little kids at christmas. taelye is so animated, and gets excited over the littlest things. i got her and taegan matching outfits and she thought it was the coolest thing she'd ever seen!

my cousin brian got married on new year's eve! after the wedding we went to diane's house and played games! i went to my friend taylor's house to bring in the new year...we played guitar hero! it was so much fun...i wish i had pictures!

Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving is one of my most favorite holidays of the year. i love the weather. i love the food. and i especially love getting together with my family.

my parents are cooking this year and my dad's family will be coming over!
i'm very excited to get to see everyone, play a little 42 and cards, and eat too much!
