Sunday was a completely lazy day for me. I didn't leave the apartment except to take taylor to pick up her car. It was so relaxing... I just watched movies and Gilmore Girls all day! I watched the Notebook because it's been quite awhile since the last time. It's always a great movie, but Holy SHIT! Rachel McAdams has the best wardrobe ever. Those shoes... they deserve to be worshiped. I would gladly bow down at the altar. Ok, not really, but really. Every pair that she wears is equally exquisite. I really like this pair, and also the pair that she wears with the green dress, while skipping to her car. Naturally, it helps that Rachel has killer legs to go with those high heels. The wardrobe, is just amazing. I'm in awe.

lastly....

I think I might have to get a one-piece swimsuit this year. I just love these from J. Crew. I don't know why, I just think they're adorbs. Do they look old lady? I like their bikinis as well, the floral prints/patterns with subdued colors are wonderful!

dreaming of summer...

...and going barefoot, being tan (or tanner than the usual pasty in my case), the warmth, swimming, shorts, tank tops, watching the stars while drinking port on a hot summer night, ray ban sunglasses.

summer? is that you?

Oh my, how wonderful was that 70 degree weather yesterday... it was just enough to make me miss summer. I'm so ready for swimming weather, 90 degrees, sunny, perfect for having pool parties, and taking wonderful pictures! I've already been scoping out clothes, shoes, a new camera... so here it goes:

• This camera case. Underwater fisheye pictures... be still my heart, Lomography is the greatest.
• A turquoise swimsuit, especially one with a "t-back" halter. Victoria's Secret, you are genius.
• A head wrap, like this one, to keep my hair out of my face when I'm chilling by the pool.
• Speaking of heads, and hair... possibly this cute summer haircut, but in a dark color, of course. My only apprehension...how would I look with short hair, I just don't know.
• These bermudas from Anthropologie, with this shirt.
• Cut off denim shorts. I always love American Eagle.
• The perfect pair of gladiators have yet to be found.
• As always, a new pair of Ray-Bans is always a must for summer :)

This list will surely be extended as summer grows nearer... but that's all I've got for today!

i am so ready...

...for summer i can hardly contain myself. in honor of the best season of the year, i've decided to make my list of must-haves for the season.

#1: Swimsuits!!! (please excuse the sexy models.) a good swimsuit is essential to summer. it determines your tan lines, or in my case, burn lines. i live in my swimsuit during the summer so i also like one that looks good under clothes.

i just love the grey-ness of this one. however, i would prefer the bottoms in the next picture.

i love the criss-cross in the back of this one.. its just a normal halter in the front, but the back makes it different than just the normal run of the mill halter.

#2: V-neck tees.
if you know me, then you know i love my solid colors. and i love vnecks. the pink collection has the best fitting, best colors, and extremely soft vnecks. im in love.
#3: tank tops. love them this one is from american eagle. i especially love the twisted straps in the back. #4: ROMPERS. throw back to the 90s. but i just love them. what better fabric than a lovely gaudy floral. paired with some gladiator sandals... ADORABLE!


#5: rayban sunglasses. i already have a pair of aviators, but i these plastic frames in the bright purple. very summer-y! (blogger messed up the picture during uploading...)

#6: gladiator sandals. how great are these?! you can dress them up, or down, and they are super comfy. i love the natural leather. very boho... totally my style. arent those red ones the greatest?! from american eagle...they have them in several other colors as well.

#7: a good pair of denim shorts is a must have for me during the summer. i wear them everyday almost. these are super destroyed, but i also like a good pair of dark denim that are bit more dressy.

#8: who doesnt love boho inspired embroidered shirts. love these colors and the fact that this shirt looks extremely soft and comfy. im going to have to buy one, SOON!

tiddies!!!

the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. i've wanted some for a while, but haven't been brave enough to google the word "tiddies". haha but i finally found them, and they are nothing short of amazing. there's a bunch of different colors, but i just got plain grey so they'd go with everything!! they came in friday, so i've been trying to break them. i just absolutely LOVE them!!

is this really spring?

living in west texas, i'm not sure that i've ever really experienced the season of spring as everyone else in the world has. but whatever "season" this is i don't like it. it's absolutely awful. when i left the house this morning at 7:45 it was 29 degrees outside. it is now currently 76 degrees!!! thats almost a 50 degree increase! and get this...the low tonight is 48 and the high tomorrow is 90! i mean seriously... this is ridiculous. how do you dress for this kind of temperature change?? sweaters in the morning and shorts in the afternoon. since i have to walk outside on campus, i can't dress for the afternoon weather or i would freeze! i HATE it.

it better be warm on Easter because i have a cute new dress that i want to wear! (unfortunately i don't have a picture)
