This is from day one as well. First thing we did Thusday when we got downtown was go to the Seattle Art Museum. Hands down my favorite thing we did while we were there. I think we could have stayed there all day, but there really just wasn't the time. They had a wonderful permanent collection as well as an excellent special exhibit. Nick Cave: Meet Me at the Center of the Earth was the name of the special exhibit. It was incredible. Like nothing I've ever seen before. He makes these suits out of completely random materials: wood, lace, sweaters, you name it, it was on a suit. Then there were also some video installations that went along with all the suits. It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. I ended up buying his BIG coffee table book for my, well, coffee table. Seriously incredible. The SAM is a must-see if you're visiting Seattle. It's also very reasonably priced, $15 for a day pass, you can come and go, and that also gets you admission to their sister museum, or other branch (It's Asian Art, I believe).
I just like this picture.. It's from the park that we ate our Poroshy's at. This tree is just so pretty and it actually has a red heart right on the front of it. I don't generally frame my own pictures... but this might just be an exception.
