a month later...

im finally posting..
when im at work forty hours a week, i just hate getting on the computer when i get home. 8 hours on the computer is more than enough for me. since school started this week im on at home much more, doing homework, checking facebook, etc.

school starting. ugh. im so thankful that i only have 14 weeks of undergrad left. however, this also scares me because i have no idea what im going to do when im finally done. im just trying to not worry about it for now. im taking a pretty heavy load, but i have two political science classes that i hate and love all at the same time.

if you read my blog regularly, you've probably noticed that i dont typically post anything that matters... just pictures, movies, books. but today i want to address an issue that has come up twice in two different classes, along with being in the news all the time. i feel very strongly about it. it would be... the mosque "situation" at ground zero. i know this might surprise many of you, but seriously america... this should NOT even be an issue. yes, im curious where the money to build it is coming from, but that aside, it would be against everything that america stands for to deny any religious organization the right to build a place of worship anywhere they want to. yes, it might not be the best place for a mosque to be built, but they have the right. america was founded on the basis of religious freedom. its like muslims are becoming the new african americans. we always have to have a minority to pick on in this country and now that it cant be the blacks it has to be the muslims. they have the same rights as everyone else in the country. its not right to tell someone that they cant worship in whatever way they see fit. you cant hold up nonchristians to christian standards. its not right or fair.

just had to get that off my chest.

i am going to try to post regularly from now on.. and they probably wont be controversial. :)
