get ready for the soapbox...

ok, i know as americans its just our nature to be totally consumed with the lives of the rich and the famous.. but where do we draw the line? i'll be the first to admit, i enjoy being somewhat in the know about my favorite actors/actresses lives, but good grief. some people are just plain obsessed. are our lives not good enough or interesting enough that we are so unsatisified, and therefore must constantly be in other people's business. small town gossip about people you know is one thing, but we're talking about stars that dont even live in the texas and most people will never even meet anyone famous in their lifetime. its absolutely pitiful. i just saw a article on people.com about kellan lutz (a famous star in the twilight saga) and how he misses his dogs when he's away shooting a film. in case you were wondering, he doesnt want them to fly with him because he wouldnt want something to happen to them in the bottom of the plane. who cares about this useless peice of information?! this isnt even good journalism... its not interesting, yet its one of the top headlines for today on the website.

having said all that.. i would really like to know if gerard butler and jennifer aniston together. shameful, i know. my curiosity is getting the best of me.
